About us

Greenacres is a family run equestrian centre offering world class services for you and your horse. For over 30 years the centre has been owned and managed by the Cornish family. Set in beautiful North Hertfordshire countryside on the outskirts of Harpenden and easily accessible from London the centre is ideally located for access by road, rail and even air.
Greenacres offers a wide range of equestrian services from novice riding lessons through tailored livery services to horse sourcing and full show jumping liveries.

With over 200 acres, and many expertly qualified and industry renowned staff, premium accommodation for the horses and a riding school with over 1,000 members it is the home counties equestrian centre of choice.

Meet The Team

    Pennie and Di Cornish

    Yard owners

    Pennie and Di started the businessover 30 years ago as a small riding school. With Di's business acumen and Pennie's equine expertise, Greenacres has expanded into a much larger operation which includes the production and training of competition horses and riders.
    Pennie also competed successfully for many years prior to having her children.

    Phillip Miller


    Phillip started riding at Greenacres as a child and has been there ever since. He is renowned nationally for numerous championships and wins on young horses that have gone on to compete at the top level internationally such as Talan, Je Tâaime Flamenco and Marius Claudius.
    Caritiar Z is a horse he has produced and kept with great success, most notably winning the Hickstead Derby 2013 and being runners up 2014.

    Ben Walker


    Ben Walker has been riding at Greenacres for 5 years. He regularly places at British National and International shows. Top placing include placings include Royal International, Hickstead, London Olympia, HOYs finalist. Placed in ranking classes at Bonheiden, 3rd in blue chip Grand Prix. Jumped to 4 star international. Currently has 2 horses in top ten gold league in England. Ben also excels in producing young horses to International levels.
